Fixed of static barriers have a low level of impact energy absorption and are installed in the areas where the energy predicted from possible landslides is reduced.
For higher energy levels, it is more advisable to install dynamic screens.
The barriers need to be designed and constructed so that they help to absorb the energy from a rock impact without resulting in a breakage.
