Groundwater is a key factor that contributes to instability on slopes and hillsides.
By making holes in the slope to help with water drainage, we are able to reduce the interstitial pressures acting on the sliding surfaces and reduce the total weight on the slope.
Horizontal or “Californian” drains consist of drilling and the subsequent placement of a plastic or metal drainage tube.
