Triple torsion metal mesh is one of the most usual systems employed for protecting again surface rock slides of reduced proportions.
Wire mesh is used between 2.0 and 3.0 mm thick as well as hollow mesh between 5 and 10 cm.
These two types of mesh have an average breaking strength of between 5,000 and 6,400 Kg/m.
They can be installed on the slope as a guidance system for small rockslides down to its base, or as an active stabilisation system reinforced with bolts, anchors and steel cables.
